Neolithic/Bronze Age waisted axehead – flaked flint

Description

This unusual design is quite rare. The body of the axehead narrows to produce a waist which splays out to the cutting edge and the butt of the axehead. This may have been a type retained as a status symbol but it is difficult to say as so few have been found.
